The Fisherman Sweater in Cashmere Blend Donegal Tweed: one of three spectacular sweater offerings for FW18. This whole garment cable knit sweater has a dense and intricate cable knit pattern, that boasts nearly twice as much plush cashmere blend yarn and a full hour longer on the knitting machine than our crew. Knit from beautifully flecked merino cashmere blend yarn imported from Italy in three colors: grey flecked with charcoal and violet, olive flecked with bright navy, cream and rust and navy flecked with cream and cobalt.

Cut loose enough to layer over a button down shirt, with enough tension to wear over a thin t-shirt. The cashmere content in the yarn makes this mid-weight sweater heavy-weight warm without the bulk.

The Fabric

The Factory

Knit in New York City using the latest seamless whole garment knitting machine technology. Typically, a knitted garment consists of separate parts that are sewn together but whole garment knitwear is produced in one entire piece, three-dimensionally, directly on the knitting machine. The knitting process is beyond just setting up a machine and clicking a button - each garment is washed to bring out the softness of the yarn and remove shrinkage and then carefully pressed.
