Classic argyle style in Italian merino and cashmere blend yarn. This is atrue argyle, knit on special intarsia machinery (by San Giacomo of Italy). A true argyle looks about the same on both exterior face and interior - without any loose strands of yarn (called cuts). If you peel back an argyle and see a forest of cut yarn, you are looking at a fake. Intarisa machinery is specialized and expensive and has a higher knitting cost, but we think the knit quality is unmatched. The argyle pattern is called "sawtooth," as the edge of each diamond has a tooth pattern reminiscent of a wood saw.
